Come join the Division of Outdoor Recreation grants team for a hands-on workshop on all things grants. While the primary focus of this workshop will be helping our community members apply to our many recreation grants, attendees will be able to use this valuable information for any grants they plan to apply to. Attendees will get a classroom session deep dive of our existing and upcoming funding opportunities, learn the tips to make your project stand out, and hear from grant committee and council members about what qualities they look for when funding projects.
Attendees are encouraged to come with projects in mind, and through breakout groups and one-on-one opportunities with our staff you will get immediate, hands-on assistance for whatever recreation project you are planning. As a further opportunity, our statewide outdoor recreation planning coordinator will be discussing the importance of planning when it comes to your project, sharing resources for what steps need to be taken, and will be available for mini-consultation to get your planning started.
Finally, if you've applied for a grant and been rejected, this will also be an excellent opportunity for detailed feedback on how you can revise it for next year to make it more competitive.
Space is limited and registration is required. See you there!
